Pierre Marcel de Wit (born 26 September 1987 in Köln) is a German footballer, who plays for 1. FC Kaiserslautern.

Pierre was born in Köln to Lothar and Monika de Wit, he grew up in the suburban Chorweiler.[1]
De Wit began his career 1992 with SC Köln Weiler Volkhoven and was in 2005 scouted by Bayer 04 Leverkusen.[2] After one year in the A-Youth (U-19) of Bayer 04 Leverkusen, he was promoted to the Regionalliga team, and earned his first professional games. In July 2007 he was called for the Bundesliga team of Bayer 04. He gave his debut on 8 November 2006 in 1:3 win over VfL Bochum.[3] After the season, de Wit left Bayer 04 Leverkusen and joined VfL Osnabrück on loan.[4] He played for VfL Osnabrück for two years, earing 47 caps, and scoring five goals.[5] On 30 June 2009, returned to Bayer 04 Leverkusen.[6] After his return played only for Leverkusen's the reserve team.[7] On 3 December 2009, he announced his signing with 1. FC Kaiserslautern.[8]
He is married to Turkish-German girl Sevgi Özdamar.[9] The couple has a daughter - Amelie, born in May 2011. Pierre's uncle is former 2. Fußball-Bundesliga player Dirk de Wit.
